why is fico different than credit karma
My FICO score is about 60 points higher than my CK scores. Why? Does that mean that if I apply for a home loan, the lender will be using that higher score?

Why? Because different scoring models are being used. You get Vantage scores on here, not FICO. A lender has a multitude of different scores to use, what kind of score used will vary among lenders. Please take some time to do some reading on this and always look to see what kind of score you are getting when you retrieve one somewhere. Most mortgage lenders will use a mortgage version of FICO scores, but there are many versions of them as well.
