There are two open accounts on my report that I do not have. accounts closed some time ago.
Two account reported as open on my credit report do not exist. One was closed years ago, the other one a year ago. These accounts are affecting my credit scores by a lot. I called and had both accounts closed. I don't understand this.

Positive accounts? Negative accounts? If they were positive accounts they were probably helping your credit, if they were negative then yes they would've been hurting it. However, having an account marked as "closed" really won't do a whole lot to help improve a negative account. And having a positive account marked as "closed" will usually cause damage to your credit.
