The Hospital never billed me
I received a letter from a collection agency about an unpaid hospital bill that I never knew about. I called the hospital and they said there was no such bill. The Collection Agency continued their efforts, again I called the Hospital and again they said they had record. I asked the agency for proof since the Hospital said it didn't exist. The Agency received the proof and sent me a copy of a bill and I paid it but the hospital never billed me and it was a small amount and I would never have let it go to collections... Do I have any options? Is there any way to have it removed. I went through a lot of trouble trying to validate the charge and there was none until it was already reported to the credit bureau and all I could do was pay it, I feel like I have been done wrong - Im afraid to go to the hospital and have the same thing happen. Any advice out there?
