Question about credit karma and credit cards on credit reports
I am recently divorced. Credit Karma lists 2 cards in my profile that my ex had me as an authorized user on. Our divorce decree states that she will be responsible for all obligations on these cards. I contacted each card provider, and they both state i have been removed as an authorized user. I have contacted all 3 credit bureaus, and they stated they will remove them from my reports. My concern is that these cards are both over 90% utilized. Will these really come off my reports? I am looking to lower my credit utilization by having them removed. They have all had perfect payment history, but that debt to income ratio needs to be lowered. Will that hurt or help me more?
