7 years no matter the state. Now the SOL, which refers to the time frame they have to sue you is a different story. Here in florida 4 years oral, 5 years written, promissary is 5 years, and open-ended is 4 years. Hope this helps

7 years from the DOFD (date of first delinquency) on the original account, unless it was some type of federal loan.
