You want to find the "date of first delinquency" on the accounts, the 7 year credit reporting time period starts there. If you are unable to find the information that you need here on Credit Karma, then pull your reports directly from the credit bureaus to find the information that you need. You can also call the credit bureaus and ask them when the negative accounts are due to be removed from your report, they will tell you. Don't forget about "early exclusions" either, early exclusions are the removal of negative accounts slightly less than the 7 year mark. Transunion will sometimes remove negative accounts as 6 1/2 years and Experian and Equifax will sometimes remove them at 6 3/4 years. You call the credit bureaus to ask for early exlcusions. As far as paying any old accounts, you should always try to get "pay for delete" agreements.

Do some research/googling on the following as they are important things you need to know before you proceed: Early Exclusion, Credit Reporting Time Periods, Pay for Delete agreements, Statute of Limitations for Debt

The three credit bureaus are Transunion, Experian and Equifax
