Hi there,

Merely being at fault in an accident will not affect your credit score at all. It may, however, affect your insurance rates. Only items listed on your credit report can impact your credit score. Your driving history is not included on your credit report.

If the accident results in a judgement against you that you do not pay in a timely fashion, that could impact your score. For more information regarding exactly what goes into a credit score, I suggest checking out this infographic: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/what-goes-into-credit-score

Hope that helps!
