Discretionary Income and lenders?
I applied for an auto loan a few days ago at my companies credit union. I was turned down for the amount I wanted. He said I didn't have enough Discretionary income. He said my credit score and DTI was just fine for the amount I wanted. He told me I had to have at least $1,000 in discretionary income after all loans and credit cards. Is this guy lying to me or is he being honest. If he isn't how many lenders actually check this?
