My one and only credit card account and my mortgage do not show

Helpful to 13 out of 14 people

Then your Mortgage company only reports to Experian,  it cost the mortage companies every time they report to one of the credit bureaurs.   The information you see here at Credit Karma is from TransUnion only

As for your Credit Card not showing on the credit reports, guessing here but if it is not a major CC from a large Department store or back then they it might not report to any of the Credit Bureaus.

Was thinking I was smart by opening a Seventh Ave Account last year,  only to find out afterwards they never report payment history,  they only report if you are late or miss payments.  Does no good for anyone.

Credit History takes time so does your Credit Score.

credit card utilization.

Helpful to 23 out of 26 people

if you pay off your cc account before your statement due date then a balance of 0 is reported to the credit bureaus.  If someone were to look at your credit report it may seem to them you never use your cc. ( yes you know differently )   Also the credit bureaus show you with a 0 utilized for that account.  It is good you pay it off before the statement but the credit bureaus do not see the history of payments.   It is good to have something show up on your cc account statement.  I always leave some balance on the CC so it is reported to the credit bureaus,  shows that the card is active and in use.  I also make payments to my high usage credit cards every other week when I get paid.

Hope this helps,  too early today,  need some coffee.

Closing highest interest credit card account?

Helpful to 7 out of 7 people

If you Pay the Balance off Each month then you are paying 0 Intrest to them. THATS GREAT.

I have 14 Credit Cards, ( only 2 or 3 are actively used ) AND everything is Paid off every month No Balance is carried forward so I look at it as each of the Credit Cards have 0 Intrest on them. I will never ever carry a Balace from one month to the other.

Don't Close the Account Keep it open as long as there is not yearly fee on the card.

How can I remove hard credit inquiries from my credit report?

Helpful to 5 out of 5 people

For the other hard inquires to come off your report you have to wait for the the 2 years from the date of the Inquire then it will drop off your report.

at the end of 2012 had 14 hard inquires on my report and now watching the older ones drop off,  9 currently ,  with another one dropping off this week then another one in Aug of this year.

It just takes time.

Should I refinance my car now or in a year?

Helpful to 9 out of 10 people

OMG 24.99%!
Go to your Bank or Credit Union if you have one, if not Get in with a Local or National one and see about refinancing with them. I would not worry about the Hard inquires, just get that rate down.

Citi ThankYou® Preferred Rewards Card

Helpful to 4 out of 4 people

Received  a mailing for this card for 0% interest for 18 months.  Placed the offer on the side for about 3 weeks and then decided to apply and see what happens.   Have a Chase Freedom Card with a CL of 8000.  was thinking be nice if they matched the CL.  Applied online without any issues and was approved with a CL of 8400.  The card showed up in the mail about a week later and now it is my primary card for the next 18 months.

What is GECRB/PPEXTR as an inquiry on my credit report

Helpful to 4 out of 4 people

That should be the PayPal Extra MasterCard ( I think it's a mastercard , could be visa )
The accounts are managed by GE Capital Retail Bank. aka GECRB

Hope that helps.

why is it important to connect your accounts

Helpful to 4 out of 4 people

DON"T DO IT!

I would never Connect my Accounts with CK.  ( Thats just me )
If CK were to get hacked all your account information could be there for the taking.  not sure how or where they encrypt account information,  passwords etc.

With all the account information from the users  they can find out spending habits.Monthly dollars spent etc.   Why too much information if you ask me.

oh I'm sure they will tell the users something different,  but I'm sure someone is mining the data to come up with reports to sell.

just my 2 cents
