Credit Karma does not currently support linking for brokerage, investment or IRA accounts. We understand that this is a feature our members are interested in, and we hope to be able to provide this service in the future. Unfortunately, we're currently unable to estimate when this may become available.

how do i delete my wife from credit data

If you and your wife have joint accounts or are authorized users on each other's accounts, it is not unusual for those accounts to be listed on your credit report. As Addison170 mentioned, you will need to be removed from those accounts to have them removed from your report.

If there is additional information related to your wife on your credit report you may need to file a dispute with the credit bureaus to have that information removed. You can read more about the dispute process here: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/dispute-credit-report-errors

Does Progressive report payments for auto insurance?

Most insurance companies generally do not report to the credit bureaus regularly.

However, if you stop making insurance payments and your account is sent to collections, this can be listed on your credit report and could negatively influence your credit score.

Error on my report

Even if you pay off a collections account, it can remain on your report for up to 7 years. If a collections account is listed with a $0 balance, it could mean that your lender has reported the account as paid, but it has not been removed from your credit report yet. The good news is that if the account has been listed as paid, many lenders will take that into account and it may not reflect as negatively on you.

I paid off all my credit cards. my score is lower. its not updating.i should have a good score.

If your account has stopped updating, you can always email support@creditkarma.com so that we can investigate what's going on.

If you have paid off and stopped using your cards, you may have fallen into a "thin file", which can mean that there are not enough active, open accounts on your credit report to generate a score. You can read more about "thin files" here: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/what-does-it-mean-if-i-have-a-thin-file

Credit card balances incorrectly shown (1999?) on credit karma profile...what can I do?

Sep 19, 2014

This was a temporary issue on the Credit Karma site that has now been resolved. Unlinked accounts were briefly listing the date an account was opened as the date that information was last reported to TransUnion. You should see that the "Last Updated" date on your dashboard and individual account pages is now correct.

My mortgage is listed by two banks because the bank changed names so it says the amount twice

This information should be corrected once the old lender reports to the credit bureaus that your account with them is closed. Lenders generally report to the bureaus once a month, so it may take a full billing cycle to update.

If the old account remains on your report, you may want to consider filing a dispute to have it removed.

You can read about the dispute process here: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/dispute-credit-report-errors
