Today 7-31-14 I went to the Austell Branch to make a deposit and while I was waiting my turn in line (there were 2 ahead of me) a branch officer by the name of Rebecca walked up to me and asked me how I liked their modern teller system where the tellers are only accessible by TV Monitor and Intercome(which has been in place since at least 2009 I think). I told here “frankly, I detest it because it is so impersonal” and before I could finish answering her question she began telling me how wonderful it is and how everybody loves it. (If that is true then why would she ask?) I replied to her “I just got through answering your question and told you I didn’t like it and you are telling me how wonderful it is.” I told her that I was aware of several people who had closed their accounts there because of the impersonal way business is transacted.” The officer replied “that there were still a few Hard Cases like you” at which point I told her that was the end of the conversation. She continued to tell me how wonderful their bank was and I moved away from her. I have never been treated so unprofessionally and rudely in a bank or any other place of business for that matter. I was called a Hard Case and was basically told my opinion didn’t matter even though I was asked for it. It is difficult for me to imagine how a person with such poor customer skills landed a job at a bank and as a shareholder I am outraged!
