I dont' think that this is CK's fault and if you check your Exp/TU you will probably see it as a CC account there too. I work in home improvement and when we used Synchrony for our customer financing that it was basically a termed credit card acount from a contractual standpoint. For example, you apply for a credit line of 10k and they agree to loan you that amount with some kind of incentive APR (much like a CC introductory peirod).

My suggestion would be to request a copy of your lender agreement from Synchrony. It's probably spelled out in the fine print.
