Worker's Compensation Medical Bill in Collection
I have a medical bill in collection that is on my credit report. I submitted it to my employer last year for worker's compensation before it made it to collection but it was never paid. I have been in communication with my employer for a year regarding this particular bill. Each time they tell me that the claim has been filed but when I contact the collection agency or check my credit report it shows that the account is still open. Once the account has been finally paid by my employer is there any way for me to dispute the negative effect that this account has had on my credit?
