Will my credit score suffer if I....
Will my credit score suffer if I pay off my auto loan? I am under the impression that it would because the loan account that I've had for over 5 years will no longer be open, therefore lowering my average of accounts open. Is this true?

yes but auto loan is small compared to say a mortgage but to get rid of the payment and sacrifice a few points
