Will having a balance that isnt due when they report to the credit bureau affect my score negatively

I am not sure what you are asking here. If you are asking if you are penalized for having a zero balance, the answer is no. However, with some FICO scoring systems, you are penalized if you show no revolving activity for the month, but that does not mean that you have to carry balances from month to month, just have to let a balance report on just 1 card and then pay it off before the due date to avoid interest.

If you were asking if you can have a balance but pay your card early, but not full balance, the balance was already reported to the credit bureaus. Credit card companies report your total balance not the payment amounts.
