If we are talking about a charge off or collection and your last payment was made 03/09, then that would make your DOFD (date of first delinquency) 04/09. Go 7 years from 04/09 and we have a fall off date of 04/16. You can request an EARLY EXCLUSION from the credit bureaus prior to the 7 year mark. Transunion will typically remove 6 months prior to the 7 year mark, Experian and Equifax maybe 3 months prior to the 7 year mark. It never hurts to ask a little earlier either, you never know, maybe you will get a kind rep and get lucky.
