A FICO score IS a credit score.

BUT, there are many different scores out there.  FICO 8, for example, is one of the most widely used scores for credit approval.

The score they give here at creditkarma is not a FICO score and should be taken as a ballpark idea as to how your credit it doing.

Personally, my creditkarma / Vantage Score is almost 100 points lower than my actual FICO score from the big 3.

But everyone's score will be different depending on a multitude of factors.
