what is consider a good credit score when buying a car and trying to get fininced

you want to be above 670

a "fair" score would be between 580 and 669, some lenders will finance.  "good" is between 670 and 739

740 is considered above the national average and get better rates.  Above 800 and your considered the best credit risk.

So the higher the score the better the interest rates you can get.  When you see those car commercials for "0 down and 0% interest for qualified buyers" they are generally  talking about those with credit scores above 800. 

So basicly, The higher your score the better the deal you can get.  Personaly, i don't rely on going into a dealership and hoping for a good deal.  I get pre-qualified with my Credit Union and walk in to the dealer and negotiage like I'm paying cash.
