Should you cancel cards you got to participate in promotional deals (i.e. 0% interest for 1 year)?
Quite often stores will offer deals like 0% interest for 12 months. In order to get that deal you have to sign up for their credit card and pay the card off before the promotional period is up. After you've paid off the card, what should you do with it? Would it be better to keep it open and not use it or to close out of it? If you close out of it, should you wait a certain period of time before closing?

I have one credit card I've been using for 7-8 years and I like to only use that one credit card.  Since i don't want to use the promo card is it safe to close out of it now or should I just leave it open and not use it?
