Unless you are going to suffer financially by keeping the account open, then NO do not close it. The damage of opening it cannot be undone, when you opened it you lowered your average age of accounts and most likely got an inquiry. Besides that though, lenders reviewing your credit reports do not like to see actions such as opening and closing accounts, of course that is subjective, but I would feel safe saying that most lenders probably would not like seeing that.
