This depends on different factors. Mostly how long you have been paying on this account, your standings (late pays etc) Generally speaking rapidly paying down a cc lowers your utilization which is a pretty high impact on your credit score. As a proven rule of thumb, you want to be under 20% utilization of your available credit at any given time, and run a balance monthly ONLY when special financing is available.
