The articles here explain how credit works, which is the purpose of Credit Karma.  I've read them so can tell you that the collection accounts remain part of your credit history for 7 years from the date of final payment.

It is NOT 7 years from the date of the "final payment" on the collection account. The seven years starts from the DOFD (date of first delinquency) on the original account.
