When this happens it is normal for scores to drop. An account was closed, that is the first problem. Then a new account is open, that is a problem. You owe a full balance on the new loan, that is a problem. Not a whole lot you can do here, and it is certainly an unfair situation, I would be writing reviews on the bank that did this to you if they are still in business and warn others of their practices.
