I had a lien placed on my property for an unsecured credit card. It continues to accumulate interest and they are not willing to settle.

Did you use the credit card to pay for substantial repairs/improvements on the property?  If you did, this may qualify as a "mechanic's lien" and the reason is to assure that the party who did the work and/or supplied the materials for the job gets paid.  I'm sure there was some mention of this possibility when you signed the work agreement.  There is a legal precedent for this back to Thomas Jefferson's day.

If you ever want to sell your home you'll have to pay it.  If you don't think you owe the money, then hire a lawyer and fight it in court.
