It's been over 11 years since filing my bankruptcy.
I was in the process of refinancing my house a month ago with the same bank that has my mortgage now and they told me they had no record that my original loan was reaffirmed and couldn't proceed with refi. The original loan has changed hands twice since origination. The lawyer I used is no longer around and he was on his own so I don't have the benefit of a firm. I no longer have my paper work showing the reaffirmation. Should this still be an issue since the loan is more than 12 years old and wasn't included in bankruptcy?
