Impact on credit score
How much does applying for a new 0% credit card impact your credit score? Good idea or bad? It would save money to do a balance transfer cuz of the 0%.

You will get a "hard inquiry" and lower the "average age of accounts" and both of those will have a negative effect on your credit, however, it is not major and the damage may very well be worth it if you can save some good money. All in all though, what happens depends on your overall credit profile.

Because yoiu are adding additional credit to the mix, your score usually should go up.  Mine did,  Just do not close any cards that are transferred.  Closing cards hurts, as is explained in the articles here.
