Impact of SOL on charged off debt
Is my second mortgage for a primary residence in California (short sale in November 2010), charged off by the original owner of the loan (same time as sale), still collectible now (SOL is 4 years in California)?

If the second lender didn't recoup their loan in the short sale, then I believe it can stay on your credit report for up to 7 years after the sale/foreclosure. It definitely can in a foreclosure. You can dispute the matter on your credit report.
