I need help understanding Bankruptcy.
How does filing Bankruptcy actually affect your credit?

I have student loans both private and federal. Does bankruptcy remove them?

Can you be qualified for a home loan at any time?

Can you still get an IRS tax return if you've filed for Bankruptcy?

Generally bankruptcy does not remove student loans (one of the little 'perks' the student loan industry got during a revision of bankruptcy law). It will also kill chances of a home loan or any other loan for at least 10 years.
