I have some old credit cards that I would to cancel. Should I got ahead and do this?

No Way!!

Never, ever cancel your credit cards because your credit score will drop considerably.  If you had read the articles explaIning credit that are presented here (and teaching about credit is the purppose of Credit Karma) you would already have known that.  Keep the cards in a very safe place, use occasionally to keep the accounts and your available credit active and you will be fine.

i agree, do not close them. older tradelines can help your credit worthiness.
