I have over 26,000 in medical bills any help on getting them off or is this hurting me at all????

It is your responsibility to assure that any insurance you may have gets these bills for payment or you arrange payments with your medical provider. As long as you, or a member of your family you are responsible for, received the medical care, you should be seeing to its payment.  The only other way to "get them off" is to file what is known as 'medical bankruptcy' and you would need to contact a bankruptcy attorney for that information. 

‚ÄčOf course these bills are affecting your credit!  Any unpaid debts will. If you read the articles on this site, you might understand how credit works.
