Closing accounts will lower your

Available Credit.  So that the balance you do carry will have a higher impact on your score.

Rule of thumb: You want to have about a years salary worth of available credit (total of all your cards credit limits)

Closing accounts will lower that total available. Plus it will lower the average age of your accounts (for a great credit score your cards all need to be over 5 years 11 months old) So closing old accounts works against you lowering your credit score.  If you no longer want to keep or use a card. Cut it up,Stick it a Drawer. Whatever, But don't close it.  Eventually the Card company may close the account for inactivity.. But that will have less impact that if you close it yourself.

Good luck

Nope not a good thing at all.

If your Credit Score and Credit History are no use to you at all,  by all means close the accounts,  but only if you don't plan on needing your Credit Score or Credit history.

As you seem to be very uninformed on how  your Credit Score, Credit History and maybe Credit work I would suggest that you start reading information here and other sites before you do anything.

Good Luck

This could have a big impact on your score, and not necessarily in a good way. Please read this article for more information about closing your accounts: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/closing-accounts-credit-effects
