How long does something stay on credit report?
My credit report is still showing a car loan i paid off 10 years ago; no late payments, but i thought things came off 7 years after last payment. Thank you.

Having that really good payment record may keep the account showing for even longer than ten years ad that  is to your benefit.  After all, we want more good things than bad associated with us, right?

Most negative accounts fall off in seven years. Most accounts closed in good standing will stay for ten years or longer. NEVER try to remove accounts that were closed in good standing.
