How long do derogatory comments stay on my credit report. It has been over 10 years ago now.
An old mortgage company that sold my loan to another creditor shows that there were 6 missed payments which I caught back up and was over 10 years ago.

Routinely, some items can remain on your credit for longer than 7 years as a reference.  This is typical for mortgage and auto financing.  Any items associated with this older account are not part of your current credit score.   As the items is over 7 years, write to the credit bureaus and ask that it be removed based on the age of the item.
