Really bad hit.  There are some states that offer assistance to homeowners with their mortgage, it is called the Hardest Hit Fund.  It is federal money and they will help you get current on your mortgage.  The states involved are:  MI, IL, IN, OH, KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, OR CA NV and AZ.  If you live in one of these states, then Google your state name with "hardest hit fund" and get with them right away.
