I have and don't recommend it.

There are so many different things in filing a bankruptcy that need to be done correctly to make sure you don't "shoot yourself in the foot."  And it is NOT a fresh start

A bankruptcy KILLS your credit score for the next 10 years and you have to rebuild as if you never had credit before when it's over, and pay higher interest rates, it's something to think over very hard before going ahead.  I'd suggest consulting a bankruptcy attorney (their first consult is often free) and get ideas from them that might help you avoid fililng bankruptcy.  That's what they usually do because they know the consequences.
