You will not be arrested for typical lending accounts. Usually the worst that can happen is that a judgement can be placed against you and your wages may be garnished or liens placed on your property. It all depends though. I would do some thorough reading on the type of debt at hand, see if it is within the "statute of limitations" in your state. Go to court to present your side of the case, if you don't show up you will lose. Make sure that you are actually be taken to court and it is not just a letter from the debt collector trying to scare you.
