No late fee grace period

You will get a late fee but it will not effect your credit until it is 30 days past due.  There is no grace period on unsecured loan, late fees.

Pay cycle date

The ideal is to pay before the cycle date, about 21 days before the due date.  This will help you control your utilization amount that is reported to credit bureaus, and give you a larger buffer against erroneous fees and penalties that can stay on your report for many years.
