Gotta say, if you missed the disclaimers, you shouldnt apply for credit cards in the first place.  The details are important!  There's an explanation on EVERY credit card page.

CC companies pay for advertising

it is as simple as that.

Read the bad reviews, you will be surprised.

Also, I think the offers are generated based on basic information. Take the recommendation with a grain of salt and do your research.
