credit card limit increase
I want to ask for an increase on my credit limit but that would mean pulling my credit report. Is that a wise choice? (house searching, havent talked to loan officer yet)

REDUCE CREDIT CARD LIMIT GOOD STRATEGY

My credit score was 699 on May 14, 2014 and I requested Slate Visa to reduce

my credit limit from $10,000 to $3,000 thinking it may improve my score and

perhaps push it into the 700's?

Was this a poor decision?

Not if you are going after a house

Don't do apply for anything other than for your home if that is your plan. If you start getting Hard inquiries for things other than a mortgage loan, your new credit will affect the approved interest rate. That gets expensive.
