Can a student still in high school have collection account go against their credit?
If a student still in high school covered by parent's insurance plan, can the account sent to collections affect my credit? Or does this simply go by age?

The legal age to be able to enter into a contract is 18, in the majority of states, though some are a bit longer. Anything presented as belonging to a minor prior to that person reaching the legaL age as stated in their state statutes, is invalid.
