Applying for credit cards
I would like to apply for credit cards that offer rewards but don't want to hurt my credit score if I'm going to be rejected my average score is 709. Also, why does having a balance on a card seem to be better than paying it in full each month?

dont get fooled into believing carrying a balance is a great idea. Your just giving your money away for free that way to the credit card issuer. Your score looks to be in the "good" standing area. But you need more information to make your decision about applying for a credit card if your new to credit try a secured card. if you have a little credit history try to get one with your own bank or perhaps try joining a credit union to advise you of your choices.
