Applying for a new credit card
I'm looking to get a credit card with a credit limit of at least $4,000. Will I be able to find out what the credit limit will be before following through with getting a new credit card?

in general, NO

most credit cards do not give you your limit before they open the account.  If you don't like the limit they set you can always go back and ask for a higher limit after you've had the card a while.

Realize of course, that once you apply that the inquiry will be on your report weather you take the card or not and if you try for another account, not taking the first one can have a negitive effect on your chances for another.

good luck
