Any options after you try to dispute collection and they refuse?
I have worked hard post-divorce to establish good credit in my own name. Following all the steps here and have had some success with disputing negative reporting, payment status update and removing old debts and incorrect reporting. But there are a few that I was not able to have corrected or removed after disputing because the collection agency came back with their reply saying they are right, I am wrong. Is there any other options or something that can be done when this happens or are you just stuck with it on your credit report for years even if you still do not agree?

Did you dispute with collection agencies directly or thru credit bureaus?

-

You can file a complaint on-line with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
