After BK two accounts closed four years ago show a new late payment status
In 2012 I was out of work for some time and two credit card accounts were sent to collection or written off. I filed for Bankruptcy and the accounts now show as "included in bankruptcy" but after four years of no activity there is now a new 30 days late notation for the month I filed BK on each account. Is this a common practice to add a new late payment note after years of inactivity?

They should have been removed, unless they weren't included in the bancruptcy. If they were included they would have been removed and a bancruptcy will show up under public records. It's hard answering your question because you didn't mention what type of bankruptcy (chapter 7 or 13) you filed. It would be wise to contact the attorney that represented you!
