Adding tradelines to your credit report

Follow these instructions:

  1. Contact the creditors to ask if they have been reporting to the credit bureaus.  If not, you may first make a request through them to establish your file with the credit bureaus.
  2. Gather documentation proving your account details (contract, cancelled checks, monthly invoices, etc.)
  3. Contact each of the 3 credit bureaus - Equifax, Transunion and Experian, regarding your tradeline request.  You can find all of their contact information on their websites.
  4. Submit all of your documentation per the credit bureau instructions, along with any applicable processing fee.
