Maybe limited number of accounts or limited information on your reports caused this. It is senseless either way though, when negative info disappears that is an improvement no matter what some scoring systems may tell you. Read all that you can about credit, make sure that you have an adequate number of open accounts for building and maintaining good credit. Work at this and when you beleive that you develop FICO scores, check them too from time to time, because that is what most lenders use.
