Was Very Unsure if i should have Done an application or not because just the other day i got an instant approval on the playstation card from capital one. Ended up doing the application anyway to have instant approval with a credit line of 6K at 19 Years of age! The rewards are Pretty good and would suggest this to anyone looking for a credit card for hotel Rewards.

I have this card because I travel *a lot*. 150+ days a year. Plus, I only stay Hyatt and Marriott (Yes, I have their Hyatt Card, too). Plus, the 1 EQN (Elite Qualifying Night) for every $3000 spend is pretty amazing. (I spend ~$125,000/year on travel.) Between my travel spend and using this card for everyday purchases, the top tier status and free nights happen really quickly. Also, it has a very slick metal design and a pretty average APR. I'm at 16.99% and a 32k limit, which isn't as great as the 9.99% and 40k limit that PenFed offers, but I pay my cards off every month so who cares? The free night is kind-of Meh. Marriott has 8 Categories of hotel and the free night is only good for a Cat 1-4... The lowest-end Marriot in NYC--a Fairfield--is still Cat 5+. So, basically you can't actually use the free night anywhere you'd actually want to go. But if you get a random invite to a wedding in BFE or have an overnight layover at LAX and want somehwere to crash... then the free night is useful. Still, the point accrual and the EQNs are awesome.

The customer service/fraud protection, however, that Chase provides is abysmal. I travel a lot, so I'm used to getting false-positives for fraud on my card, and usually Chase calls me or texts and asks me if it was a legit expense. I confirm it, have the merchant run the card again, and all is good. I'm ok with that. Unfortunately, Chase has started randomly re-flagging my card for purchases that I've already confirmed as legit... and usually about a month after the charge was made, and after I've paid off the charge! So, obviously it's legit because a) I confirmed it was legit and b) I paid it. When I call in to complain my card has stopped working again, the customer service agent usually looks at the account, goes "that's odd... the charge was from a month ago and you already confirmed it. I don't understand why someone went in and manually re-flagged it." Then they unlock my card and give me 5k Marriott points as an apology. Then, like clockwork, a week later they send me a letter rescinding the 5k apology points. And that is REALLY bad customer service... it's like an episode of Laurel and Hardy... only way more ridiculous and frustraiting. Oh, and then they usually reverse the reversal of the apology... and then reverse the reversal of the reversal. I kid you not.

So, if you travel a lot and stay Marriott a bunch, this may be the card for you... as long as you have the patience to put up with random fraud alerts and a Customer Service Team that can't find their a** with both hands.
