Consumers Pay Down Credit Card Debt In Q3 2010

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for the third quarter of 2010. Nationally, credit scores are 666, down two points since Q2 2010 and three points since January 2010. Several metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) have seen a credit score decline greater than the national average since Q2 2010.

Consumers In 11 States Decrease Credit Card Debt By Five Percent Or More Since January 2010

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for August 2010. Since January 2010, credit card debt amongst consumers has decreased three percent nationally. Consumers in the Miami and Denver metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) have paid down their debt by 10 percent and 11 percent respectively since the beginning of the year. In addition, consumers in 11 states have paid down their credit card balances by more than five percent.

Consumer Credit Card Debt Up Nearly 14 Percent Since July 2009

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for July 2010. Nationally, credit card debt amongst consumers with a credit card decreased by one percent since June 2010. However, credit card debt is up nearly 14 percent since July 2009.

Consumer Credit Card Debt Down In First Half Of 2010

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for the first half of 2010. Credit card debt amongst consumers with a credit card decreased 1% during the first half 2010. Consumers in Hawaii and New Hampshire showed the biggest decrease in credit card debt since the beginning of the year with debt decreasing by eight percent. The current credit card debt is $9,042 and $8,505 respectively.

Consumer Credit Card Debt Up 8% Since May 2009

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for May 2010. Credit card debt amongst consumers with a credit card decreased 1% in May to its lowest level in 2010; however, credit card debt is still 8% higher than it was in May 2009. Consumers in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) showed the biggest increase in credit card debt since May 2009 with debt increasing 18%. In addition, consumers in nine states increased credit card debt by more than 10% since May 2009.

Consumer Credit Card Debt Drops To Lowest Level In 2010

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for April 2010. Nationally, credit scores have remained stable as consumers begin to pay down seasonal spending and the economy begins its recovery. In April, the average consumer had a credit score of 670, up just one point since the beginning of the year.

Consumer Credit Scores Stable In Q1 2010

Nationally, credit scores have remained stable in the first quarter of 2010 as consumers have maintained an average credit score of 669 throughout 2010. Despite the steady scores nationwide, several metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) have increased or decreased their credit scores by four or five points.

Consumer Credit Card Debt Highest Since May 2009

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for February 2010. Amongst consumers with a credit card, credit card debt increased 6% nationally from January and is the highest it has been in 10 months. The Midwest and Northeast regions showed the highest increases in credit card debt with a 7% increase and Kansas City consumers represented the highest gain for a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), increasing debt by 10% in February. In addition, consumers in six states increased their credit card debt by more than 10%.

Consumer Credit Scores Drop In January 2010

Credit Karma (<a href="https://www.creditkarma.com">www.creditkarma.com</a>), the consumer's credit advocate, today released its U.S. Credit Score Climate Report with trend data for January 2010. On average, nationally, credit scores dropped by two points in January to 669, marking the first time credit scores have dropped below 670 in 12 months. In addition, consumers in three states managed to lower their credit scores by more than five points.
