Ken, Ryan and I founded Credit Karma over 10 years ago with the goal of helping people make financial progress. Now, we’re providing identity monitoring, DIY tax filing and even showing our members the financial health of their car from recalls to refinancing — all completely free. For us, progress means making small steps toward big goals. We’ve been successful in helping our more than 85 million members in North America take these strides to improve their finances. However, to truly deliver on our mission, we realized we needed to expand further internationally.
This morning I’m in Leeds, where I’m bursting to announce that we’ve agreed to acquire Noddle, and welcome their more than 35 employees to the Credit Karma family. Noddle was founded in a similar spirit to ours, providing those in the U.K. with free, unlimited access to their financial information — a first in the region. As a founding member of Credit Karma, I’m energized to be leading this next chapter for Credit Karma in the U.K. and am eager to build on the traction Noddle has already made with its more than 4 million members.
I’ve worn many hats at Credit Karma over the last 10+ years; however, partnerships have been core to my role as Chief Revenue Office. This means I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know our partners to truly understand them and their businesses. Like any relationship, it takes time to build trust and foster strong bonds. Our partnerships with banks, lenders and data providers will enable us to accelerate the value we can deliver to our new members in the U.K.
Additionally, I’m excited to share that we have immediate plans to expand our team in the U.K., and hope to more than double the team in London and Leeds over the next year.
