Time heals wounds. If necessary, get a secured credit card and pay it on time every month until your score is around 500-550. Then apply for an unsecured card. DO NOT go more than the recommended ratio of debt to income.

Believe it or not, bankruptcy while sometime necessary is not the end of credit-life as we know it. The longer you get away from Bankruptcy, the higher your score will go, just pay credit accounts and never be late. It takes time, usually within 2 years you will see progress. Never, never, be late on a credit card payment again. There are books out there, check out "Credit Bible Secrets"---you will find it very interesting. Good Luck!
